Softball Recap: Williams Valley Finds Playoff Glory Versus Bristol

Williams Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Bristol Warriors by a score of 8-5 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four matches in a row.

Sage Smeltz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits.

At the plate, Williams Valley got a big performance out of Ally Underkoffler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Olivia Hand was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Williams Valley lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April.

Williams Valley's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Bristol, they moved to 18-2 with that loss, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Williams Valley nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
