Football Recap: Loomis Wolves vs. Axtell Wildcats
After losing to Axtell the last time they met, Loomis decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Loomis Wolves blew past the Axtell Wildcats 46-22 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.
Jace Schukar was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.
Loomis' defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Gavin Norris, Tyson Freeman, and Schukar picked up one apiece.

Loomis' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Axtell, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.
Loomis will host Anselmo-Merna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Anselmo-Merna focused on turnovers this week as team gave up five on Friday. As for Axtell, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cambridge at 7:00 p.m.
