Softball Recap: Topsail Takes a Loss

Topsail fell victim to South Brunswick and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Cougars. The Pirates have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Topsail's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for South Brunswick, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Topsail will challenge West Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Brunswick has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.57 runs per game on average), something Topsail will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Brunswick, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Dixon on the 24th.
