Softball Recap: Medina Wins Going Away Against Menard

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Randolph, Medina was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Menard Yellowjackets 27-5. That looming 27-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

Medina got a massive performance out of Ahnika Grassie, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs Grassie has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Crista Zirkel, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Medina now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Menard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Medina will take on Richland Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Menard will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Medina at 5:00 p.m. on March 28th.
