Basketball Game Preview: Hobart Bearcats vs. Mangum Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hobart Bearcats duke it out with the Mangum Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Hobart knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Mangum likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, everything went Hobart's way against Apache as Hobart made off with a 67-47 victory. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Mangum's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 48-28 to Hooker. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Hobart's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21.7 points. As for Mangum, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Hobart against Mangum when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 59-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hobart since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
