Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Birchwood

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grantsburg, Birchwood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Winter Warriors by a score of 73-62. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 106-87 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Birchwood pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Winter, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Birchwood Bobcats face off against the Prairie Farm Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Birchwood is facing Prairie Farm at the right time seeing as Prairie Farm is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Winter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clayton at 5:45 p.m.
