Coalfield is a perfect 7-0 against Jellico since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets will challenge the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

Coalfield's last matchup with Wartburg Central could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets lost 11-2 to the Bulldogs.

Gracie Davis made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Jellico came up short against Oneida on Tuesday, falling 19-10. Even if the Blue Devils couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Coalfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jellico, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.

Coalfield got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Jellico by a conclusive 21-0 score. Do the Yellow Jackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
