Soccer Game Preview: Amery vs. Altoona

The Amery Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Altoona Railroaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amery's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Amery's offense. They lost 7-0 to Baldwin-Woodville on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Amery can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Baldwin-Woodville are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Altoona). They blew past Spooner 3-0 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Altoona with their most commanding win of the season.

Amery's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Altoona, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-3.
