Volleyball Recap: Cunningham Wildcats vs. Attica Bulldogs

Cunningham lost against Attica two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Cunningham started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Cunningham saw an underclassman step up: sophomore MORGAN OLDHAM had 13 digs and one assist.

Attica got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Makena Mans out in front who had 26 digs and nine kills. What's more, Mans posted two assists, the most she's had over her last two contests. Liberty Swingle was another key player, getting 12 kills, nine digs, and one block.

Cunningham has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season. As for Attica, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-11.
