Baseball Game Preview: Crossroads Roadrunners vs. Pacific Ridge Firebirds

The Crossroads Roadrunners will head out on the road to square off against the Pacific Ridge Firebirds at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Crossroads will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Crossroads picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mount Miguel by a score of 7-3.

Matthew Condon tossed a big game, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Jake McCaffrey was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Crossroads is undefeated when McCaffrey posts three or more hits, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Oliver Winkler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Pacific Ridge lost 15-3 to Chadwick on Tuesday. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michael Fredericks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Crossroads now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Pacific Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
