Basketball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northside can now relate to. They lost 66-43 to the Habersham Central Raiders on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Raiders are ranked 30th).

Northside dropped their record down to 14-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Habersham Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Habersham Central, they will face off against Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Habersham Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 16 contests.
