Volleyball Game Preview: Harlingen Cardinals vs. Los Fresnos Falcons

The Harlingen Cardinals will face off against the Los Fresnos Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harlingen hadn't beaten Hanna on the road since September 24, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Cardinals blew past the Golden Eagles 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Los Fresnos came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Chargers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 21-25, 25-14.

Los Fresnos' win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Harlingen, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Harlingen came up short against Los Fresnos in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
