Basketball Recap: Punahou Gold's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Punahou Gold came into Saturday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 48-41 victory over the Waimea Menehunes on Saturday.

Punahou Gold's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Waimea, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Punahou Gold didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-36 victory against Island on the 14th. As for Waimea, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kauai at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Kauai will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Waimea surely won't give up without a fight.
