Soccer Game Preview: Maple Mountain vs. Spanish Fork

For the first time this season, Maple Mountain will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Spanish Fork Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Maple Mountain's offense. They fell 2-0 to American Fork on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Spanish Fork ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They never let Layton Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Spanish Fork were the better team in the second half.

Spanish Fork now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Maple Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Maple Mountain came out on top in a nail-biter against Spanish Fork in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
