Softball Recap: Heritage's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Heritage came into Tuesday's contest having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Palm Bay Pirates with a sharp 18-2 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Chloey Dieter was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Maliyah Ayala was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Heritage's record is now 3-13. As for Palm Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Cocoa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Palm Bay, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Titusville at 6:00 p.m. The Pirates are on a four-game streak of home losses, and the Terriers a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
