Softball Recap: Milton Red Hawks vs. Oregon Panthers
It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Milton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Oregon Panthers 6-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in April.
Morgan Bastian made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted over her last ten contests.
