Volleyball Recap: Raleigh Comes Up Short

Raleigh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the McLaurin Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on August 5th.

Raleigh was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for McLaurin, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raleigh will challenge Mize at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McLaurin, they will face off against Seminary at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
