Recap: Leadership vs. Madison Park Academy Trojan-Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tennyson, Leadership were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Madison Park Academy with a sharp 71-50 victory. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for a single point.
When it comes to explaining why Madison Park Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Darius Mason. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. The contest was Mason's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kylon Ollie was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Leadership is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Madison Park Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leadership will take on KIPP King at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. KIPP King is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Madison Park Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
