Volleyball Recap: Denver West Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Denver North, Denver West was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Aurora Central Trojans. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Denver West was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 24-26, 25-13, 25-16.

Denver West found their leader in sophomore Annamarie Vega, who had seven aces and three digs.

Denver West was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Denver West's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Aurora Central, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Denver West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Wheat Ridge on the 13th. As for Aurora Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Jefferson on the 13th.
