Softball Recap: Dymally Challengers vs. Jordan Bulldogs
Dymally extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-9. They lost 24-8 to the Jordan Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 31-4 on April 13th.
As for Jordan, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
For Jordan's part, Lucie Alvarado was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Alvarado has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with seven stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ali Albino was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Remy Orea, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Dymally wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-5 victory against Crenshaw on the 4th. As for Jordan, they have also already played their next game, a 15-4 win against Hawkins on the 6th.
