Bishop Brossart has gone 7-1 against Lloyd Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will take on the Juggernauts at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Bishop Brossart needed a bit of extra time to put away Holy Cross. They had just enough and edged out the Indians 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Nate Geiman was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Isaac Amin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Lloyd Memorial made sure to put some runs up on the board against Holmes on Wednesday. The Juggernauts' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 15-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Juggernauts in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Luke Landers, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lloyd Memorial's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't). Jayden Jasper also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Lloyd Memorial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory got Lloyd Memorial back to even at 7-7. As for Bishop Brossart, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Bishop Brossart might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Lloyd Memorial in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
