Softball Recap: Murdock Falls to Prouty in First Game of Season

Murdock kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 11-1 to the Prouty Panthers. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Murdock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Blake, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Sadie Bauver, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murdock will challenge West Boylston at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Prouty, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Prouty Panthers challenge Quaboag Regional Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
