Football Recap: Mcdonough Falls Despite Big Games from Jaylen Cherry and Drayden Gibbs + How To Watch

McDonough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 24-17 to the Eagle's Landing Eagles. The Warhawks lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 41-13 score last time.

McDonough's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Drayden Gibbs, who rushed for 102 yards and one score, and Jaylen Cherry, who picked up 92 receiving yards and one TD.

Ronald Isidore went supernova For Eagle's Landing., rushing for 89 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.

McDonough's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eagle's Landing, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
