Basketball Game Preview: Moses Brown Quakers vs. Coventry Oakers

The Moses Brown Quakers will square off against the Coventry Oakers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Moses Brown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Moses Brown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Pilgrim, who was ranked 11th at the time (Moses Brown was ranked fourth). Moses Brown walked away with a 66-53 victory over Pilgrim on Saturday.

Moses Brown relied on the efforts of Otis Crosby, who went 8 of 9 en route to 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Donovan Clement, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. Clement's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of RaJhon Jones, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Moses Brown was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Coventry came up short against West Warwick on Monday and fell 62-49. The game marked the Oakers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Coventry's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Moses Brown, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
