Clay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Poca The Dots. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Clay County's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Poca, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Clay County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-28 defeat against Doddridge County on the 8th. As for Poca, they will square off against Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
