Softball Recap: Lennox Orioles vs. Parkston Trojans
Lennox won the last time they faced Parkston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Orioles came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 12-7. With that win, the Orioles brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Hayley Hahn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Lennox let Ahleeya Nicola and Macy Wallenstein run wild. Nicola went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Wallenstein went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs Wallenstein has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taylor Ragel, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Lennox's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Parkston, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lennox will host West Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkston, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Viborg/Hurley at 4:30 p.m.
