Basketball Recap: Joel Barlow Takes a Loss

Joel Barlow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 50-30 to the Weston Trojans. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Joel Barlow's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Weston, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Joel Barlow will square off against Pomperaug at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pomperaug knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Joel Barlow likes a good challenge. As for Weston, they will challenge Immaculate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
