Volleyball Game Preview: Osborne Bulldogs vs. Lakeside Knights

The Osborne Bulldogs will face off against the Lakeside Knights on Saturday.

Osborne is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Hill City just ended the team's nine-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Ringnecks by a score of 2-1. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Ringnecks since Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Osborne sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Lakeside beat Natoma 2-0 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lakeside was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-10.

Osborne's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Lakeside, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

Osborne was able to grind out a solid victory over Lakeside in their previous matchup last Saturday, winning 2-0. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
