Basketball Game Preview: Banneker Trojans vs. Dutchtown Bulldogs

The Banneker Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Dutchtown Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Banneker has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight defeats, while Dutchtown will come in with 14 straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Banneker lost to Northgate at home by a 69-51 margin.

Meanwhile, Dutchtown didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Morrow on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Mustangs are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dutchtown's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Banneker, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
