Softball Game Preview: Lamar Vikings vs. Bowie Volunteers

The Lamar Vikings will challenge the Bowie Volunteers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 1.

Lamar came up short against Arlington on Friday, falling 17-7.

Nathalie Dermas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariska Soliz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bowie lost 16-5 to Haltom on Friday. The Volunteers haven't had much luck with the Buffalos recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
