Baseball Recap: Halstead Comes Up Short

Halstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Larned Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 on Thursday.

Halstead saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Gavlak, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Halstead's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Larned, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halstead will venture away from home to square off against Douglass at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Larned, they will face off against Hugoton on Tuesday. The Indians are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
