While Pottsboro's win against S & S Consolidated wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Rams 3-2 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (111-110) Pottsboro actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 18-25, 22-25, 27-25, 15-10.

Pottsboro's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-11. As for S & S Consolidated, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pottsboro is set to challenge their familiar foe Leonard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, S & S Consolidated will square off against rival Blue Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
