Volleyball Recap: Brookwood Takes a Loss

Brookwood lost against Westminster back in September of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Broncos fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Broncos were not able to get on the board.

While Brookwood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19.

Nahla Jackson paced Brookwood's offense, picking up four kills. Jackson got some help from Alyssa Feder and her 13 assists. Hallie Gayle controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Westminster was led to victory by Munday Tyrone and Sophia Alston. Tyrone had ten assists and six digs, while Alston had ten digs and seven assists. That's the most digs Tyrone has posted over her last seven contests.

Brookwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Westminster, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Brookwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Chamblee on the 16th. As for Westminster, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Archer on the 16th.
