Basketball Recap: Bel Air Comes Up Short

Bel Air was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a blow against Patterson Mill, falling 61-24. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Patterson Mill this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-12 back in January.

Patterson Mill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylie Madsen led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Madsen is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Trinh, who posted 12 points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

Bel Air's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Patterson Mill, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Bel Air does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Patterson Mill has already played their next matchup (against South Carroll), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
