Basketball Recap: Liberty Extends Winning Streak to Four

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Liberty ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past the Glass Hilltoppers with a 47-41 win. The Minutemen's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Moriah Tate was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points. Cierra St. John was another key player, posting 11 points.

Liberty pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Glass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Liberty will take on Brookville in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is facing Brookville at the right time seeing as Brookville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Glass, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-26 victory against Christiansburg on the 14th.
