Baseball Game Preview: North Royalton Bears vs. Twinsburg Tigers

For the first time this season, North Royalton will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the Twinsburg Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Royalton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

North Royalton's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Perry by a score of 4-0.

The result came thanks to Antonio Escano's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Julian Tavarez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Twinsburg duked it out with Hilliard Davidson on Saturday. Twinsburg had just enough and edged out Hilliard Davidson 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since May 22, 2024.

Lucas Tinter looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Twinsburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Cox, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

North Royalton pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.0 runs this season. As for Twinsburg, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
