Springfield Catholic has gone 7-1 against Carthage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Fighting Irish will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Springfield Catholic will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

The Fighting Irish blew past the Pirates 8-0. Considering Springfield Catholic have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Carthage challenged Webb City on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Carthage it sure didn't stay that way.

Carthage has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Springfield Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything went Springfield Catholic's way against Carthage in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Springfield Catholic made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Irish since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
