Baseball Recap: Hayfield Triumphs

While Hayfield's win against Wabasha-Kellogg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Falcons 11-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Hayfield got a massive performance out of Axel Meek, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Meek is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Rylan Nelsen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Hayfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Hayfield will take on Cleveland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they will square off against Mabel-Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
