Softball Recap: Collierville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Briarcrest Christian on Tuesday, Collierville came back down to earth. The Dragons fell just short of the Houston Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Collierville's record now sits at 9-8-1. As for Houston, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collierville will venture away from home to take on Ripley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Houston, they will head out to square off against Bartlett at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
