Baseball Recap: Orange Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Orange's offense. They fell just short of the Century Centurions by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Centurions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cooper Gschwend-Son was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Orange saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Yang, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Anthony Zaragoza also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Century, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orange will challenge Costa Mesa at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Century, they will face off against Estancia at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
