Bozeman is 8-2 against Vernon since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bucks will host the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Bozeman's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Vernon has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
Bozeman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Walton on Friday. The Bucks put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 15-3 victory.
Nya Bautista tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Caydence Corbitt was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Karlee McLean, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Bozeman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Vernon came up short against Chipley on Friday, falling 11-4.
Ava Roche made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Lila Owens was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bozeman, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.
Vernon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bozeman has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Vernon, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Bozeman's sizable advantage in that area, the Yellowjackets will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bozeman took their victory against Vernon in their previous matchup back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Bucks repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
