Softball Preview: Notre Dame Spirits vs. Willow Glen Rams        
        
		
            
 Notre Dame is 0-3 against Willow Glen since May of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. The Notre Dame Spirits will head out on the road to  face off against  the Willow Glen Rams at 4:30  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Notre Dame: 2.8, Willow Glen: 2.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 Notre Dame's pitching crew heads into the  contest  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Monday. They came out on top against Salinas by a score of  3-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Notre Dame.
 Meanwhile, Willow Glen entered their tilt with Hillsdale with eight consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with nine. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-4  victory over the FIGHTING KNIGHTS  on Saturday. Five seems to be a good number for Willow Glen as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
  Alanna Clincy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). Clincy has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Clincy was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Katelynn Dilbeck was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Cianna Miranda, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
 Notre Dame has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record  this season. As for Willow Glen, their victory was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-4.
 Notre Dame came up short against Willow Glen in their previous meeting  on Saturday, falling  5-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Willow Glen's  Catalina Medina, who   struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk).
