Basketball Game Preview: Northport Mustangs vs. Republic Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Northport Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Republic Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Northport ended up a good deal behind Curlew and lost 63-45.

Meanwhile, Republic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 51-30 to Inchelium. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Hornets are ranked 55th).

Northport's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Republic, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Northport beat Republic 56-43 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Does Northport have another victory up their sleeve, or will Republic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
