Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ashford). They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Slocomb Red Tops on Thursday. For the Yellowjackets, this counts as revenge for the 7-1 win the Red Tops walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The victory got Ashford back to even at 2-2. As for Slocomb, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Ashford will venture away from home to face off against Daleville at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Slocomb, they will host Kinston at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
