Volleyball Recap: Miamisburg Comes Up Short

Miamisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Beavercreek Beavers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beavers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Miamisburg was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-13.

Jordyn Mumpower paced Miamisburg's offense, picking up nine kills. Mumpower got some help from Reagan Toole and her 16 assists. Mumpower was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Miamisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Beavercreek, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Miamisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beavercreek, after both having extra time off, they and Fairmont will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:45 p.m. on the 21st.
