Brewster skates past Manson with ease

Recap: Brewster Bears vs. Manson Trojans

The Brewster Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 25 points or more this season. They breezed by Manson on the road to the tune of 68-7. Given Brewster's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Manson is ranked 284th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brewster got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan McGuire out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. McGuire has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Pepper Boesel was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Brewster's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Manson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brewster will take on Okanogan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manson, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Soap Lake at 4:00 p.m.
