Softball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin's last matchup with Lake Travis could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. Austin lost 16-0 to Lake Travis. The Maroons haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Austin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Everly Benkert, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lake Travis, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8-1.

Looking ahead, Austin will venture away from home to challenge Del Valle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Travis, they will face off against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowie will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Lake Travis surely won't give up without a fight.
