Basketball Recap: Christ Our Rock Lutheran Takes a Loss

Christ Our Rock Lutheran was the 63-40 winner over Father McGivney Catholic when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions fell 43-32 to the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins on Monday. The matchup marked the Silver Stallions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Father McGivney Catholic was led to victory by Chase Jansen and David Carroll. Jansen went 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points, while Carroll posted ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Christ Our Rock Lutheran and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Father McGivney Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ Our Rock Lutheran will challenge Farina South Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they will face off against Valmeyer at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
