Basketball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Trinity Christian

Trinity Christian won the last time they faced New Bern Christian Academy, and Riley Burnham did her part to make sure it happened again. The Trinity Christian Tigers strolled past New Bern Christian Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 55-40 thanks in part to Burnham, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. The match was her fifth in a row with at least 16 points.

Macey Skinner was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

New Bern Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Faith Huffman, who went 8-for-20 en route to 19 points, and Jamie Lavoie, who posted 11 points. What's more, Huffman also posted a 40% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024.
