It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bristol-Plymouth RVT can now relate to. They fell just short of the Malden Catholic Lancers by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Craftsmen's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Gabrianna Arrighi was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bristol-Plymouth RVT saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taryn Geer, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Malden Catholic, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Malden Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Westwood on the 4th.
